华西医院耳鼻咽喉头颈外科前身是成立于1894年的成都存仁医院，是我国耳鼻咽喉科学的重要发源地之一。胡懋廉、姜泗长、郎健寰、孙鸿泉、吕钟灵、郑中立、王世勋等国内著名耳鼻咽喉科专家都曾在我科工作或学习。现是国家级临床重点专科、国家临床药物试验耳鼻咽喉专业基地、全国首批中国医师协会内镜培训基地和全国博士后流动站单位。

The Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at West China Hospital was originally established as Chengdu Cunren Hospital in 1894 and is one of the important birthplaces of otorhinolaryngology in China. Renowned experts such as Hu Maolian, Jiang Sichang, Lang Jianhuan, Sun Hongquan, Lv Zhongling, Zheng Zhongli, and Wang Shixun have worked or studied here. Currently, it is a National Key Clinical Specialty, National Clinical Drug Trial Base for Otorhinolaryngology, one of the first batch of Chinese Medical Association Endoscopy Training Bases, and a national postdoctoral station.

耳鼻咽喉头颈外科分别于1978年、1986年被批准为我国硕士学位、博士学位授予点，2024年设立了耳鼻咽喉头颈外科学系/耳鼻咽喉头颈外科学教研室，并成立了耳鼻咽喉头颈外科研究室，拥有专职的实验队伍。目前，科室在职医生中90%拥有博士学位，且先后赴英国、美国、加拿大、日本、比利时、新加坡、中国香港等地攻读学位或研修学习，其中在职高级职称21人，硕士生导师17名，博士生导师7名。承担博士、硕士、本科生的培养、住院医师规范化培训和国家自然科学基金、科技部支撑计划、国家教委博士点基金、卫生部、省科技厅的多项科研任务。学科各亚专业设置齐全，发展迅速，各具特色，拥有各亚专业的学术带头人及合理的人才梯队，包括：耳科、鼻科、咽喉科、头颈外科、鼾症中心、听力与言语语言康复中心、人工耳蜗植入中心以及专业的护理团队。学科开设了临床医学本科生课程《耳鼻咽喉头颈外科学》、留学生课程《ENT》、项目制课程《生信大数据》，以及研究生专业、专外课程。

The department was approved as a master's and doctoral degree-granting program in 1978 and 1986 respectively. In 2024, it established the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery and the corresponding research office with dedicated experimental teams. Currently, 90% of our practicing physicians hold doctorates, including those who studied in the UK, US, Canada, Japan, Belgium, Singapore, and HKSAR of China. We have 21 senior physicians, 17 master's supervisors, and 7 doctoral supervisors. The department undertakes education and training for undergraduates, residents, and postgraduates, as well as research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, Ministry of Science and Technology, National Education Commission, and provincial science authorities.
