Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery
课程主要介绍耳鼻咽喉头颈外科常见、多发疾病的诊断、治疗与防治原则，熟悉耳、鼻、咽、喉、头颈正常解剖、正常生理及病理生理。通过学习，学生将掌握本专科常见、多发病及常见急症的基本诊断要点及处理原则，熟悉耳鼻咽喉头颈部专科病史采集与查体技能，初步熟悉本专科常用治疗技术。
This course introduces the diagnosis, treatment, and preventive principles of common and frequently encountered diseases in otorhinolaryngology-head and neck surgery. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the normal anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology of the ear, nose, pharynx, larynx, and head-neck regions. Through structured learning, participants will (i) Master the essential diagnostic criteria and management principles for common diseases and emergencies in this specialty (e.g., otitis media, sinusitis, laryngeal disorders); (ii) Develop proficiency in clinical history-taking and specialized physical examination techniques for head and neck disorders; (iii) acquire foundational competence in routine therapeutic procedures (e.g., endoscopic techniques, airway management).

Bioinformatics and Big Data in Otorhinolaryngology
本课程旨在通过耳鼻喉科的实例，帮助学生了解大数据挖掘中的全基因组关联分析、孟德尔随机化等方法，培养学生应用编程语言（如R或Python）进行数据分析的能力。课程通过理论与实践结合，提升学生的大数据研究设计、实践操作能力及创新思维，鼓励跨学科研究并培养团队合作精神。同时，课程注重学生的职业道德培养，强化医德医风，确保学生能将所学知识应用于临床实践，并通过前沿技术应用和综合评价全面提升学生的学术素养与综合能力。
This course leverages otolaryngological case studies to introduce big data mining methodologies, including Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS) and Mendelian Randomization (MR). Students will develop proficiency in using programming languages (e.g., R/Python) for data analysis and interpretation. Through a blend of theory and practice, the course aims to: (i) Enhance competencies in big data research design and operational implementation; (ii) Foster innovative thinking and interdisciplinary collaboration; (iii) Strengthen medical ethics and professional responsibility; (iv) Equip students to apply bioinformatics tools to clinical practice and cutting-edge research.
This course is for international students studying in West China School of Medicine, West China Hospital of Sichuan University. Students will learn to master the principles of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of common diseases in otolaryngology, and be familiar with anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology of ear, nose, pharynx, larynx, head and neck.
After learning, students will (i) master the basic diagnosis points and treatment principles of common, frequently-occurring and common emergencies in this specialty; (ii) be familiar with the skills of medical history collection and physical examination in ENT; (iii) be familiar with the commonly used treatment technology in this specialty.
